My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Spencer! It's in a great neighborhood (literally a five-minute walk to Harrods, the Knightsbridge tube station and three museums on Brompton Road), with two groceries and a dozen restaurants close by. The home was terrific! There are quite a few stairs (short ones) but the kitchen had everything we needed, the TVs worked nicely and the rooms that had air conditioning units were an added bonus. Three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths made a comfortable stay for the four of us. We felt more like citizens of the neighborhood rather than guests, and that also made for a great visit. The staff was very helpful, too, quickly answering questions from us during our stay. We had a marvelous experience with the home and London Perfect and hope to return soon!

The house was lovely, and furnished with very interesting period pieces, yet it still felt cozy. The beds were quite comfortable, and the AC worked well. SAT TV in every bedroom! Everything we needed for our stay was there, including a well stocked kitchen, with some groceries supplied for our first day, which was a nice touch. As we had young children with us, we used the laundry facilities everyday. The neighborhood is especially good, being quiet and upscale, while close to everything. Many shops, museums, and Hyde Park within walking distance. For the size of our group, the price was equal or better to staying in a hotel, but in a homely setting with more conveniences. What really made our stay great was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and their niece. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze. They supplied a lot of brochures, maps, etc. in the home, as well as magazines, gave advice on transport, and brought over a bottle of wine one night to have a chat with us! : ) They even found a doctor for me as I was sick part of our stay. Thanks Bill and Kezia! Hope we get a chance to return! If you have trouble with steps, the house might not be appropriate as there are a lot. But it keeps you fit! : )

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well-appointed home. Grandma, Mom, Dad and 3 young daughters (10, 6, 4yr) were accommodated with ease. There were quiet corners for everyone when they needed one. At the same time the main lounge provided a peaceful gathering place, and the large round dining table gave us another opportunity to socialize together. The terrace is also very inviting, and we wished we had spent more time there. The kitchen allows for gourmet level cooking-- very tempting with Harrods' Food Hall so close by! There is an amazing assortment of cookery and tableware, plus upscale appliances. A small but appreciated detail for those who like to sleep with open windows is the almost total lack of city noise at night. The atmosphere throughout the house is one of tasteful art and interesting furniture without being pretentious. It was a very peaceful and relaxing place to return to at the end of a busy day touring London. At the same time, the location gives excellent access to everything the city has to offer. We would heartily recommend this property.

We chose this flat for our family of two parents, and three young adult children (plus a young adult nephew) because of its prime location in a safe, quiet, residential are of Kensington. We were not disappointed. First, as to the location, what could be better? We were two blocks from a bakery, three blocks from a great little coffee shop, five blocks to the tube and Herrods, and four blocks from the grocery store and several atms. We enjoyed the Indian restaurant located only about a block from the front door and spent several visits at the neighborhood pub, the Clipper, only two blocks away. Indeed, our kids would often want to head to the pub for beer in the evening. With it being so close, we were comfortable having them do that without us. The proximity to virtually everything made this an ideal rental for us. Still we were on a quiet street with very little traffic. The home itself was perfect for our family. We needed the three bedrooms which accommodated the six of us well. The three bathrooms allowed all of us get ready for the day quickly, although the water closet on the lowest level of the home is pretty small. It is challenging to get dressed in the bathroom after a shower. We enjoyed the parlor or living room assembling there before leaving for the day or leaving for meals. A spacious kitchen and eating area is located in the lowest level of the home. Honestly we did not use that much. We made coffee and tea there in the morning, we cooked a few eggs and toasted bread for breakfast. But we did not make good use of the kitchen. Still it was available, so for those inclined to have a few meals at home, it would work well. The availability of great restaurants walking distance to the flat was an important feature for us. We like seeing sites during the day, eating lightly in the morning at noon, and finding a better dining option near our temporary residence at night. The location of this Kensington flat was perfect for that.
