Vorno (5 mins driving)
A quiant town just minutes from the Magnolia Villa. Perfect for gathering groceries at the local supermarket or dining at one of the many delightful restaurants. Surrounded by hills and trails this is a perfect place to wonder and explore the sights and sounds of the Tuscan countryside.
Lucca (15 mins driving)
Famous for its medieval wall that encircles the city, a wonderful walk or bike ride. Wander the streets to see the piazza that was a roman amphitheater where emperors met. Good dining and shopping.
Pisa (20 mins driving)
Of course, you must visit this great town and climb the leaning tower! The cathedral is excellent. Take a tour. Home of Galileo. Ancient enemy of Florence and source of its salt with the consequence that Florentine bread has not salt, to this day, resulting in many Florentine dishes containing stale bread.
Viareggio (30 mins driving)
This seaside town has several of the longest beaches in Italy. Ejnoy the beautful beaches with iconicly colorful umbrellas and blue sea. Stroll along the palm-lined promenade and exlpore countless boutiques, ice cream parlors and restaurants.
Forte dei Marmi (40 mins driving)
Pleasant little town overlooking the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy the many beaches along the seaside with the beautiful Apan Alps in the background. Explore high-fashion boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants and the sculpture dotted town center.
Florence (52 mins driving)
Capital of Tuscany, home of the Renaissance. Architecture and art. Food and shopping galore.
Cinque Terre/La Spezia (60 mins driving)
Five film-set villages on the Italian Riviera that have never seen an automobile. Pastel houses tumble down a slope to the harbor with fishing boats. Ramble between villages along the cliff trail or by train.
Bolgheri (82 mins driving)
This village in the Maremma is home of the prestigious Bolgheri wine appellation, one of the original Super Tuscans. Prepare for tastings.
Siena (82 mins driving)
Called Italy's loveliest medieval city with cuisine, art, museums, churches and famous art. Unique medieval culture that is reflected in the twice annual Palio horse race that some call insane. Look for videos.
