Relaxing Oasis

Menta was a lovely and very comfortable apartment. We loved the location on the quiet square shared with the St. Regis. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms roomy as European standards go, and the kitchen sufficiently stocked for our morning coffee and delivered croissants. The onsite manager, went above and beyond for us, doing laundry for my son, who had been in Europe for a while. The concierge was also very helpful with reservations and water taxis. I would definitely recommend Menta.

Fabulous experience

We have used Vacation Perfect for a number of trips and have had a superb experience every time. That was especially true in Venice. We were two couples and stayed in Menta for 3 nights. The apartment was very comfortable, the beds were terrific, the fresh croissants delivered each morning were amazing, and the location was unbeatable. Best of all was the concierge service (thank you - you were amazing) who arranged our days and guides for a fabulous overall experience. We cannot wait to come back!

Location was centrally located for easy access getting around. The freshly baked croissants and apartment service was greatly appreciated and made a difference. My husband and I recently stayed in the Menta apartment for four nights and we are happy to report that it is an absolutely lovely apartment in every way. The location is terrific as it's very near Piazza San Marco and in a very quiet area. There is one, caveat, though. The Westin Hotel is currently doing major construction and the noise and vibration can be heard in the apartment during the day.Fortunately, the workers leave around 5 pm so it is quiet in the evening. The apartment is furnished beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The apartment is beautifully maintained. The staff, including the secretary who will make dinner reservations, and the housekeeping staff were all extremely gracious and helpful. It is lovely having warm croissants delivered to the apartment daily. It is the only place we want to stay now when I'm in Venice. We highly recommend it at the risk of not being able to reserve it in the future because it is so popular. That is the word I use to describe my entire experience in Venice with Italy Perfect. We stayed in the Menta apartment, which is one of the most beautifully appointed apartments I have been in. From the outrageously fun decorating to the perfect expresso machine, Italy Perfect, like Paris Perfect, provides its guests with all of the amenities one could want. The location is so central to all that is Venice. A stone's throw from St. Mark's Square, and a fun winding walk to the Rialto Bridge, Menta is in a beautiful Palazzo, with a private dock. The greeter Roy was lovely and very accessible. I highly recommend taking a tour with Rita Satori, as Italy Perfect suggested. She gave us an entirely new perspective of Venice. My recommendation would be to get a good map of Venice and then have fun getting lost meandering the city! You will always find your way back! Our one week stay at the Menta apartment was very comfortable, including beds and rooms to relax in the living room. The location is very central and within easy walking distance to key sites as well as the water transportation.The Staff was professional and helpful. We departed our Cruise Ship at 9 AM and arrived at the apartment around 10 AM. They were cleaning the apartment and we did not expect to get in until 2 PM - the designated arrival time. However, they told us to come back at 11:30 AM and we could get into the apartment - a very nice gesture on their part. Only a couple of suggestions for improvements come to mind: 1. The apartment is stocked with bread, butter, water, coffee, sugar, oil and vinegar. We ran out of bread and asked for it to be replenished - but it was not. 2. Our departure was 7 AM (via water taxi) and we were told to pay the staff 20 Euro in cash for opening the portal to the dock. That was a bit of a surprise to us. 3. We used the oven a couple of times and it took some time to figure out how to used it. We recommend that instructions be provided. As for Grocery stores there are 2 stores close to the Rialto Bridge. They are a little further than the one in the directions provided, but they seem to have a larger selection. Also, the Valetta stops are conveniently close to the stores. [We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the Menta apartment. We are very sorry you did not see in the terms the €20 fee for having one of the staff get up early to open the door to the dock for water taxi departure before 7:30 am. The starter supply of complinentary breakfast items is to get you through the first morning or two. Guests are responsible for buying additional groceries, or can have the housekeeper grocery shop for an additional fee. Thank you very much for your business, it was a pleasure woking with you. Though my wife and I took the apartment over looking the Grand Canal our kids were able to stay in a second apartment in the same building. First off our kids are mostly adults so staying on their own just a couple of floors away is not an issue. This apartment looks out of a quiet square and offered lots of room and convenience for touring the city. Warm croissants, and a refrigerator stocked daily with still and sparkling water were always welcome. Ideal located for viewing of all sites in and around Venice. Accommodations where good with only one drawback not one English speaking TV station .[We are so happy you enjoyed the good accommodations and ideal location. It is accurate that there is no English speaking TV, as clearly stated in the apartment information you read and understood before reserving. Guests can easily keep abreast of the news using the free Wifi and their own laptop, tablet or phone…with so much to see in Venice there usually isn’t much time for TV-watching! Venice is a lively place, especially the San Marco district. Quiet is a rare commodity. This beautiful apartment is as quiet as can be even though it is literally a five minute walk from Piazza San Marco. Menta looks out on a small little square that's cloistered from all the excitement. The furnishings are lovely, The rooms are sizable. And everything is in good taste. The only shortcoming -- the master bath has a nice tub, but lacks a shower. The building is well kept. The elevator is a nice feature. And the property manager was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property. Two restaurant recommendations: Osteria Enoteca San Marco -- Great selection of wines, and impeccable, creative cuisine in a hip atmosphere. Basara Milano -- Believe it or not, a really sophisticated Japanese restaurant [sometimes you need a break from pasta!]. Great in warm weather...amazing, elegant roof top dining. [Very pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the restaurant tip.
