Quarterie Coppede (4 minute walk)
Visit scenic Piazza Mincio to see the whimsical Fountain of the Frogs, Coppede’s Archway located at the entrance to Via Tagliamento. Be sure to check out Palazzo del Ragno, also known as the ‘Spider’ building due to the amazing design.
Galleria Borghese (5 minute walk)
An elegant palace and a worldwide famous art museum with exceptional paintings by artists such as Caravaggio, Canova, and Raphael
MACRO Museum of Contemporary Art (7 minute walk)
The Museum holds and exhibits a collection of contemporary art with about 1,200 works of art from 1960 to the present.
Villa Borghese & Gardens (13 minute walk)
One of the most famous art galleries in the world. The gallery houses a considerable part of the Borghese collection of paintings, sculpture and antiquities by Cardinal Scipione Borghese nephew to Pope Paul V. The surrounding green gardens are beautiful. It is the third largest park in Rome.
Villa Torlonia (18 minute walk)
Enjoy walking in this verdant historical park that was once the private estate of the Torlonia family. The neo-classical style villa was designed by noteworthy Italian architect Valadier in the late 1700’s and featured unique English-style gardens. The villa was occupied by Mussolini during the WWII.
Parioli Neighborhood (23 minute walk)
Located between the Villa Borghese area and the Tiber river, the upscale Parioli area is known for its elegant, tree-lined streets, refined Roman lifestyle and expat community due to the many embassies located in this area. Many excellent restaurants, cafes and boutiques line Viale Parioli.
Catacombs of Priscilla (25 minute walk)
Visit underground burial galleries of Rome’s earliest Christian community, the Catacombs of Priscilla are a maze of over 13 kilometers of tunnels, portions of which are adorned with frescos.

Loved our stay!

This was our 4th stay with ItalyPerfect who we've come to trust for really knowing Rome & all their apartments. We loved our stay at Castagna, a beautifully renovated apartment. Blissfully quiet for sleeping. It has all the modern conveniences and it gives you a chance to experience a real Roman neighborhood. It is an upscale area with tons of cafesm restaurants, handy supermarkets. We love to walk & thus was a great homebase for all our ventures throughout the Eternal City either on foot or convenient bus or tram line. There is a beautiful cafe across the street Pasticceria Gruè where we loved having a leisurely coffee & pastry or gelato most days.

As frequent visitors to Rome we love this area. This was our first stay at the Castagna apartment & it was perfect for our needs for our 4 week stay. We are already planning to book it again for next year. Greeter was so sweet & helpful too.

Indulged in Coppede at Castagna

This apartment was great especially because I finally got to indulge my fascination with the architecture of Gino Coppede with all its deep, esoteric symbolism and amazing silliness. We spent days enjoying all the Coppede buildings and fountain that are right there! More enjoyable walking through Villa Torlonia and Villa Borghese. Oh, and by the way, all the rest of wonderful Rome is right there!
